In a democracy, the primary responsibility for the success or failure of that democracy lies with the people. We each have a duty to view critically the actions of our elected leaders. In this, American’s receive a failing grade. There is another leg of democracy which the founders recognized and gave special consideration. That leg is a free press.

Do You Know a Miracle When You See One?

I think we miss the boat when it comes to miracles. I heard a story on NPR about how Monarch Butterflies navigate. Monarch’s travel nearly one thousands miles from Canada to Mexico. Researches found part of the Monarch’s eyes and brain are wired to see ultraviolet light, so they can travel even on cloudy days without queues from the position of the sun. You see, I think that is a miracle.
